Does anybody still use desktop PC?

I still use the trust desktop for Uni work. Makes things so much easier and a bigger screen with multiple things open especially when you're flicking between 4/5 screens.

I think still many are using mainly gamers and also many companies use desktop to work.

Larger companies probably use both, desktops are easier to monitor regarding networking etc but tablets/laptops get used for visits etc.

Larger companies use everything from PC, to laptops, to tablets to mobiles. Not to mention I rather be managing a server with a PC than laptop.

Agreed there, it's so much easier from PC's even more so when you multiscreen it.

I have both a laptop and a desktop PC and I can honestly say that I use both equal. I tend to use my laptop when I am unable to be at my desk upstairs so it enables me to still be online where ever I am. I tend to use my laptop a lot more during the winter months on a night time so I can be in bed and keep warm.

I use my PC most of the time. I used to use my laptop before buying this PC, but the PC has better specs than the laptop, and I prefer having a bigger screen too... Therefore, my choice is the PC...

We have three desktop PCs and two laptop PCs, and a few tablets but for me it's definitely desktop, as for my work it's the easiest to use. Probably because I have two screens. Come to think of it I don't know many people that do not have a desktop. If they have a laptop they seem to always have a desktop as well. If they don't have a desktop they probably don't have laptops or tablets either but that's just here I suppose.

I always prefer desktop PC if i am at home. It has got a bigger screen. There is some limitations for increasing screen size of laptops. The main downside of Desktop PC is it has got higher energy consumption. My home PC is working for almost 16Hrs a day. :p

Yes, desktop still OK! laptop when you are traveler. Actually it is Desktop where I learn to troubleshoot and can just give so much knowledge in studying computer parts.

Jittopjose, it is that I am fond of that hardware stuff but just the basic things that should be known. some hard troubleshooting things are asked online.

I didn;t know that either :(
Also, most of us depend on the service employess :D
