Does Anime lack the charm it once used to have?

i am sure anime does have it but it mellowed out a little. may be things are getting overused. what do you say?

I wouldn't say that.
That charm just shifted into a new form and we need to understand only that. It doesn't lack any charm

but i have heard a lot about how anime used to be so cool and all. but now it's been downgraded and it hurts to see those comments.
