Protective gear maybe training gear.
Oh i see.. i get it now. But i never seen anything like that in my favorite series Captain Tsubasa, maybe in newer series there's talk about protective gear or training gear

There have been some anime that have really drawn me in and made me research if some of the designs/actions are even possible. I would also assume that the vast majority of the male population from the 80s-90s have Googled if wearing weighted training gear all the time will make you turn into Goku.
