Do you think something that is mid/average is worse then something that is just bad?

So what's your opinion about this?.
Do you think it's what you want in general? Do Let us know more about it.

I think the stuff that's really bad is more memorable than just generic. Bad publicity is better than no publicity.

You’d be surprised at how great bad publicity did to help things get popular.

Yeah its pretty much as Grungie says. Even look at something like that film The Room, people hear its one of the worst movies ever and that makes them go out of their way and watch it.

for real?
if something is just too bad, i am sure i wouldn't pick it up lol
and that's the same for many people i know

That’s how some of these really terrible songs get traction on YouTube “dude, check out how terrible this song is”. Big example being Friday by Rebecca Black.

There are also films that are notoriously bad, and are famous for being that bad. The Room and Plan 9 From Outer Space being two famous examples

There are also games that are notoriously bad that actually have a lot of popularity for being really bad. Examples being Sonic 06, Action 52, and Plumbers Don’t Wear Ties.

that's different lol
youtube views can be different and i am sure the next releases of the same band would likely get minimal views.

Views are views, I don’t see what’s different besides making some random criteria where only your definition makes it not count. They still got publicity from it at the end of the day.

i do get it lol
but what i am referring is the future of that. if it's so bad, people wouldn't give it another try lol

They definitely do, if it’s that bad, you have to see someone’s reaction to it in person. That’s how terrible movies get popular like The Room, Plan 9 from Outer Space, and Manos the Hands of Fate. You watch it with your friends.

i really haven't watched those movies lol
and let me check them out before talking about them further and so far the most worst movie i watched is pretty much 365 days. and it's nothing at all lol

Those aren’t movies you watch by yourself.

Speaking of nothing, the first hour of Birdemic is basically nothing, and god what a terrible movie. You watch a guy sit in traffic, then fill his car up with gas, then drive around some more. It’s like... where are the titular birds at?
[/quote]
lol that sounds far too boring
i am sure there is no way i can watch it completely by myself based on what you said lol

My overall point still stands, these movies (and the other examples I listed earlier) are still famous at the end of the day, whereas the mediocre ones are quickly forgotten.

Th entertainment industry isn’t a meritocracy, it’s all based on publicity, good or bad. You have to do something that gets attention. So being exceptionally bad is more memorable than being really good with zero publicity behind it. That’s why you can look at a genre fad from 20 years ago, and remember the really popular ones, and the really really bad ones, but nobody remembers the really mediocre ones

i see
cool then but if it's me, i would never watch something which is exceptionally bad.
it will kill me.
