Do you think someone's favorite anime characters can tell you a lot about a person?

Well, I can't really say much.
However, I believe at least something about the character must have impressed the person so yes to some extent, I suppose.

I think a persons favorite people be they anime characters or manga can tell you a lot about them. People most often like characters that like the same things they do. That's what makes the characters relatable. Knowing that, if you know what the character likes you can make educated guesses about the likes and dislikes of the IRL person in question.

I do believe this. Usually, when someone has a favorite character it is because they see a lot of themselves in that character. Nobody knows themselves better than themselves and usually what they see in a character that tells a lot about them some others do not see in them.

and you are right even that could tell something about that person
