for me it's personal enjoyment lol
i know some anime which got quality like textbook related character development and predictable cliche but if i don't enjoy them, there is no point lol
I would go with personal enjoyment.
Quality is good but if it's the same concept just because of the trend, I wouldn't want to score an anime based on it alone.
