Do you prefer watching "fun" anime or "deeper" anime?

As for me, anything is fine as long as it is enjoyable to me.
What about you guys? Do you feel the same? Or do you have a preference when it comes to anime?
 
It really depends on what I'm in the mood for, but I'll say fun ones as they're often shorter, which I prefer.

I mean psycho pass has some great sci fi concepts yes but at its core it's a detective show with cool action and characters that's fast paced and entertaining.

i don't think i have laughed while watching that anime and i am sure no one had ever done that.

but don't you think usually fun is used for pleasant emotions like laughter and joy?
you don't see that in psycho pass anime.

Fun, as in entertaining to watch and time passing quickly. Not *funny*.

He's a director(among the best in the world right now). Have you watched films like Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Django Unchained or Inglorious Basterds?

must be because i don't remember actually seeing any of them lol. let me check them out/
