Do you often need a break from anime?

I do.
Otherwise I wouldn't be able to do much.  Sometimes I have to force shut down my laptop so that I can take care of other stuff.
Is it the same for you guys? Do you needa break or some outside interference?
 
Yes of course. If I spend a whole day binge watching an anime I try to go out and hang out with my friends. 
Even in terms of entertainment media I try to switch between anime, movies and TV series. 
Although usually stop watching the minute I start getting bored.
 

Hmm.... I don't usually switch to series but I do switch to drama sometimes.
Thanks to my sister, I know most of the horror series now :P
 
Nah, I watch anime when ever I eat so its easy for me to watch and in a way that doesn't require a break. Which given my backlog is a good thing.

Try The Haunting of Hill House then. It's a masterfully crafted horror series without any cheap jump-scares and has excellent character development and a brilliant narrative. Also just 10 episodes long.

Alright. I hope I wouldn't regret it.
Most of the horror anime loses their charm after a while. It's the same with Yami shibai, and that other anime about supernatural creatures born out of darkness.
 
Usually after every episode I get distracted and check some messages then end up going off and doing a bunch of other random stuff.

As I said it's just 10 episodes. Brilliantly edited with great visual story-telling.

Wow. I wish I could be like that.
I usually click the next episode within 5 seconds... And it's like a habit now

I don't watch much anime but yes I do take a break from it like if I am trying to complete a series, once i finish it I might take a few days or something before I start another so as not to get to caught up in it

I wish I could do that I always end up taking for ever to finish something because of these constant distractions.
