Do you like to hear dialects/accents in anime?

and what about you all? do you like to hear them? or do you think it's not that expressive and all?

lol but i think i can.
when you kansai dilect, it's just so different and usually people from the villages use it.

Most villages use more of a touhoku dialect, as that’s the “backwater” dialect. Kansai is mostly the Osaka and Kyoto dialect, which is more akin to a New England accent in America.

lol i didn't know
and usually whenever someone says yer at the end, later it will tell us it's some kansai dilect.

I’m just saying that culturally it wouldn’t make sense to depict villagers with a Kansai dialect, as it’s a massive metropolitan area. That’s just the translators being lazy, as a US Southern accent is just the easy way to depict someone talking differently.

and i really should have searched for it and most of the people like me, whatever given in the references is the absolute truth.

It’s easier to slip in a y’all or yer as opposed to like a Brooklyn or Boston accent.

and i really didn't think of that and usually people call it the kansai accent in manga i read.
