I usually go with the Japanese title most of the time, unless it's too long.

I normally just use which ever one is more known, so normally the first one I hear or whichever comes to mind first.
For example: I call it "Your Lie in April" instead of "Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso", whereas I would use "Yakusoku no Neverland" instead of "The Promised Neverland".

Whichever is the more popular title plus pronounciation. Attack on Titan is definitely the more popular whereas with My Hero Academia or Boku no Hero Academia it's give or take. Same with Food Wars or Shokugeki.

English titles, unless its japanese one is very distinct but most of the time the japanese title is way too long or hard to say.

I call it MHA too but I don't find it all that grating because it's just 2 extra syllables. Although one case where I've seen the Japanese title being used more is Kimetsu no Yaibu, even though Demon Slayer is probably simpler.

I do think Demon Slayer sounds kinda generic. And the direct translation is silly. Either way I am looking forward to the upcoming movie and with the manga over hopefully they continue the anime though it seems unlikely.
