Do you accept the story in anime when it's not the same in manga?

Most of the time, trolls like me find it amusing as all the hell brakes loose when anime watchers and manga readers argue over the damn plot.
Anybody here enjoys this twisted pleasure?
@Davis @Ace as you are both here, why don't you answer me?
@MelloLily @Sindar gives cool answers.
May be @MadaraUchiha@Chernaudi

well i never really argue the plot, as i do not read manga, so i would not make a comment as i cannot judge it based on only seeing the anime.

What if someone says that's not the ending and it is fake, to an anime you have watched?
How would you react?

Unfortunately in my experience most of such discussions are very simple and consist of the same few lines people repeat to each other. So I tend to not like them for that reason, they are boring. But when people manage to come up with some cool arguments I am all for it. Like, if you want to tell me how the manga ending for FMA is more logically consistent, or more meaningful in some way, then the original anime version, I'd gladly listen to you =)

A mod saying that looks weird.
Is it okay to voice out stuff like that? Do you really like arguments between anime watchers and manga readers? By the way, they rhyme

To be honest I tend to find interesting the changes that occur between both. Sometimes the switch actually makes sense, as it is more consistent with the character personality and other times it can't be helped, like when the manga is just halfway when the anime is beginning production and both might finish around the same time.

I only have a beef when then original point is lost, the characters change personalities for no reason, things like that. I can get behind the anime of Chrono Crusade because even though I feel they do changed some of the personalities and missed the point of the author with Rosette, I actually appreciate all they actually managed to do given the circumstances. They crammed all the could from the mangas as they were coming out even though their story arch and the manga one went different ways. Then they took a risk with the ending.

The good thing about having different types of fans is having different interpretations. One isn't right over the other, unless clearly stated by the authors. Anime and manga are completely different markets, so I expect some plot difference to happen. Watching people argue over this is pointless to view and pointless to do, because each fan is strong in their beliefs, and who are we to change that? I avoid throwing myself in these petty arguments because I believe they can just simply be fans of the series and not have to agree on how the series is ran. If an anime fan or manga fan enjoys to plot they are viewing, then that is all that matters. Trying to convince them otherwise will just make them lose interest in the series.

Well, I don't really read any manga, but, if I find that an anime I watch sucks, I search whether it has a manga adaptation or not, and find whether it's good..... If it is good, I consider reading it...... I think, I read Blue Exorcist manga, after I got bored of the anime version........ But, I don't really 'accept things', if the adaptation sucks, it sucks, in my opinion.......

May be you haven't seen obsessed fans.
How will you deal with one when you encounter people like that? They aren't cool like us trolls.

Do you really think you are sadistic? Care to join us trolls in trolling the otaku?

What if the manga has a really cool ending than the anime?
Will you read that?
Just found out that you are not much of a reader.

Considering I'm an admin on NarutoSpot, I see obsessed fans all the time. I just don't care to pay attention to them.

Then did you deal with stupid arguments where they are likely not true?
How do you make them see the true point?
@Yato can't see the truth here.

Even though you want to know the real ending of the story that manga provides unlike anime?

Then you were never involved in any argument?
Don't you have any favorite characters from any anime?

Define your sadistic nature?
That must be quite low compared to us trolls

yeah but i dont want to know, the anime showed me its ending, i don't read the manga so that's it.

I always stick to the canon/source material, which in most cases is the manga. So if the anime or any part of the anime doesn't match with the manga, such as with fillers, I don't usually watch it unless I really like the anime. But that's rare in most cases, for me at least.

there are some anime that are adopted from light novels.
how would you assess them?

Oh shit I forgot about light novels lool. Well its the same story with those animes. I'd only watch parts of the anime that come from the light novels and ignore the episodes that aren't from them. But with most of the animes ive watched that are adapted from light novels, there aren't really any sort of filler arcs or filler episodes aside from some OVA's at least.

What exactly are light novels?
Are they made by Japanese people too?
