Difference between Loli and Petite in anime

I guess for me, the difference between a loli and someone who’s just petite would be based on the body type and characterization. Lolis are usually more childlike in appearance and personality vs someone whose just short.

To me the difference would be character and personality. Loli tend to be very childlike and innocent to go along with their small stature. while patite are usually more mature and are usually very defensive about their size and figure.

and i am sure their actual size matters a lot as well. the maturity also differs a lot
