If I didn’t watch it back before I met the fans, honestly the Death Note fandom would turn me off of it. Back in the day, it was the #1 series loved by edgelords, and now I’ve seen the fans act like it’s the Rick and Marty of anime where you have to have a “pretty high IQ” to understand the show.
Black Clover probably. I could not get past episode 3, it has the most obnoxious protagonist of all time and on Twitter all I see when people talk about it is fans of the series trying to put down My Hero Academia. It's almost a meme at this point that MHA lives rent free in their minds. And they also act like it's the best anime ever made sometimes, I tend to mute them.
