Do you have any favorite detective theme anime?

Detective conan is good, Detective kindaichi is.. kinda copy of conan. What i truly enjoy is Hyouka

i think i saw this anime, that's a part of conan series but got independent title.
i forgot that series name. it ends with a number and the main protagonist is a thief. phantom thief i think

There's a lot of crossover between Detective and mystery so I guess my list would be Hyouka, Death Note, Psycho-Pass, Erased, Bungou Stray Dogs. For me a detective anime should have some element of surprise and suspense, and some sort of a puzzle involving a crime with pieces being slowly sorted out as episodes progress. Psycho-Pass is a good example of that(I mean it is one of the best anime ever made so nothing surprising).

I never heard avout Psycho-Pass before, thanks for the info, sounds interesting to me

It's a Sci-Fi anime actually, set in a sort of deceptive utopian future and mostly explores society, free will very very well. It's pretty popular so I'm surprised you haven't heard of it yet but do give it a go it's damn good.
