It all started with a death march, so goes this anime which is another typical stuck in a RPG type setting (think SAO, log horizon, overlord, .hack, ect.) but despite that setting and using a lot of general slice of life things, this anime always had my attention to the end of the episode despite its strong harem influence to it. I feel like this anime will accomplish what Log Horizon tried to do but failed on.

Overall I enjoyed it, had some good action and lovable characters. Though according to the LN readers the anime did no adapt it well, so hard to say if another season is in store despite things getting good.

Anyone here see this?

I have seen it alright. To me it's sort of a disposable background anime that you can watch when you want something running in the background while you are doing something. It's chill, but also uneventful.
However, what do you mean by "I feel like this anime will accomplish what Log Horizon tried to do but failed on"?
And regarding LN readers, I feel like they can never be satisfied and will keep nitpicking adaptations no matter how good they are.

To me Log Horizon shifted itself into a slice of life while surviving an RPG. Though LH just got so boring and overdone with boring characters where each episode of DM was somehow entertaining.

I think season 1 of Log Horizon did a phenomenal job of actually exploring the world and mechanics of an RPG.
