She is at the top alright. Still I believe, she still got some rational thinking going on, in every episode and most of the time, she is trying to protect herself from the external forces.

Lol yep pretty much came here to say this, Higurashi is the de-facto "psycho" anime to me (even if it's VN is a lot more serious than that)

Bakura from YGO is also pretty psycho
