Didn't like the first 2-3 episodes. The new girl, Sumire was a bit annoying and got on my nerves. The anime fell into place when they actually started focusing on Karuta and the core cast again.
Favourite match was easily the final match in the High School Team tournament. This anime does a great job of ramping up the tension to a 100 during high stakes match, on the level of something like One Outs(another Madhouse show). But I think it sort of encountered the same problem Haikyuu Season 3 did for me personally: the individual matches were less intense so everything felt inferior, just like how the match Karasuno had against Aoba Josai had so much tension and was directed and animated so perfectly and Karasuno's match against Shiratorizawa felt a tad bit inferior to me.
Liked the OP and the ED. I expected to get bored half way through season 2 just like I did with Assassination Classroom season 2 but I surprisingly liked the entire season. There's also an OVA and it's fine.
