Cliches in Anime

As with other art forms, some things seem to always be in anime, much to the annoyance of some people.  Anyway, what could be done to fix the problem?   Does anyone have any ideas for new types of stories?  Maybe some lesser known types of stories should be told more often.

Fan-service-Now, this is my personal opinion. Many people like fan-service and echi in anime. In fact, it's considered a staple in anime, and otaku's think of it proudly, and say that insulting is just Western mentality. My problem with it is that, mostly, it acts as a distraction. Others include punching someone in a comical way, and the victim flying a few miles away. This is especially common with Tsundere's, another cliche in anime, but, a cliche that doesn't bother me as much. One more would be shouting. This is especially common in Shounen anime.

Only fairy tail of action anime got that. Not many action and shonen anime got echi content.

Yes, but, the number of shounen anime I've watched is very limited. The vast majority of anime have echi content.

Does anyone think cliches are a good thing, anyway? I mean, you know the saying, "If it isn't broke, then why fix it?". In fact, it seems like a lot of things follow a tried and true method, with some notable exceptions, of course.

I think cliches are fine, but only if you know how to use them properly.

Well, if you pick non mainstream anime you'll find much less cliches, that's the solution I think =)

Does anyone think "The Journey of a Hero" is cliche?  It's common to movies ranging from Star Wars to The Wizard of Oz.  Anyway, I don't think it is, but perhaps other things about writing would be.

Never heard anything about this the journey of the hero. Why do you think it's a cliche?

that's something
i just think they shouldn't use obvious plot holes like the best friend betraying the protagonist etc.,

Change the formula of mainstream shonen, it's getting old for me, i need new theme and new personality for main protagonist

lol with that i agree
it's always the main protagonist who is very stupid and half the time, you would want to strangle him lol.

But most likely they won't do that since the formula still work
