Upon finishing Clanned, I moved on to the even more dangerous, Clanned After Story. I don't think I've ever watched an anime that shows how perfectly life can be, it will make you happy, it will make you sad, it will make you laugh and it will make you cry (tears will be shed). Those emotions aside, I can't believe such a simple drama/slice of life anime got such high visuals and animation to it, as well as several great songs and annoying theme that starts with d....

So... who here has cried over this series?

Yeah well almost every KyoAni show is a drama/slice of life series and they are all extremely beautiful. This one is probably better written than Clannad which I felt was a bit more silly. But there's still the try hard tear-jerker moment that I sometimes didn't like(but there were others where I sorta felt emotional). I still don't get the ending, whether if it's a cop out or not. Some people say it's tied to the fantasy element of the series but I didn't notice any of that, nor do I remember any. Very good music, animation, likeable characters and definitely worth watching.

the fantasy for this anime seems to be based on miracles, though the ending seem a bit rushed and could have used another episode.

Yeah, seemed like a lot of stuff happened at the end. There were 2 OVA's as well if I remember correctly, exploring "what if" scenarios.

it had already gone too far long at that time
they rushed the ending a little but we can still see all the loose ends getting removed

The OVAs were other possible routes the main guy could have taken, which I'm surprised haven't gotten anime of their own.

they must have been experimenting at that time
new people do that
No it was after they legit got established and started delivering hits. They became independent, started acquiring novels and adapted them.
