Can fairy tail compete with one piece or naruto?

Fairy tail, unlike other anime, isn't completely a shonen anime. It consists of echhi moments and other things that might offend young viewers. Do you think, it can compete with popular shonen anime like one piece or naruto? Do you think people will continue to watch fairy tail series, even though it is becoming a repeating thing?
 
It's got a different reputation. It's actually popular for its echi content
 
Well bleach competed with Naruto and One Piece and far as I'm concerned Fairy Tail is better than Bleach since it will get a finishing anime. So yeah, I say it can despite it not able to take death seriously.
 
Nope. Fairy Tail is pretty fancy for various reasons, but there has been a lot of character developments, plot twists, different morals and values in One Piece and Naruto, even if it's ultimately same, the way those are portrayed are also different.
Fairy Tail can probably get a lot of audience, but I don't think it can really compete with One Piece or Naruto. 

It definitely beats One Piece in OST though...
 
I don't think it can ever compete with one piece or naruto. They are bigger and popular than fairy tail. I would never think they could beat other action anime statistics
 
It can never be compared to main stream anime and it's not entirely action anime. It far lots of fan service and a sub par story. It can't be compared with the other major anime.
 
Hi Everyone! Just joined today.

I see Fairy Tail as a different anime or manga. One Piece and Naruto are more structured and have fleshed out characters. I like them too. I like Fairy Tail for different reasons though. It has lots of different magics and abilities. Unlike Naruto most all characters male and female fight in battles. It was disappointing in Naruto that most female characters that could have been awesome ended up as healers.  The battles too are intense. It also has good funny moments and an interesting story. I truly think that Fairy Tail is different than One Piece or Naruto or even Bleach which makes it hard to compare too.
 

Well, I agree that magic is different but don't you think devil fruit users are like magic users as well?
As for bleach and Naruto, it is difficult to compare I suppose
 
I agree about abilities being like magic. It's why I enjoy One Piece and Bleach and Naruto. Sometimes I get into manga for the different characters and abilities even if the story is not that good. Bleach's final arc for example did show Bankais I was waiting to see, but it seemed rushed and the characters not so fleshed out. Plus spoilers* (I felt Rukia and Ichigo had more of a bond than him and Orihime.)
Freezing has no excellent story but it has enough to keep me interested plus the main reason the Pandoras and their abilities. And a love story. On One Piece though I feel it may be dragging out for too long though it never fails to disappoint.

I am not much of a manga reader. I read some initial bleach chapters as i got some copies of them.
I prefer anime like most of the folks here. I am not completely aware of the final arc of bleach. I will have to read it sometime as we might not get anime now.
When you said Pandoras, are you talking about Pandora of hearts?

fairy tail is good at first but after a while, you will notice that it wouldn't improve. naruto or one piece improved a lot. fairy tail wouldn't stand a chance against them

watch these long series completely and you will get addicted to anime
