Can bad plot be fixed with good directing in anime?

if you think animation is only important, then may be anime might not have a decent plot.

Oh yeah it can. If you can get good writers and a good director, any anime that had a generally bad plot to begin with, can suddenly switch to being a good anime, if done correctly.
