How often do you buy new tech for yourself to have or to upgrade something current you own?

When i was in my Teen i used to upgrade often (say 8 -12 months) but now not anymore

I try to delay buying new tech. As long as I still can use my old laptop/phone or whatever then I try not to spend money.
Some people say "If it works, don't change it".

I've realised recently, that I even try to delay software updates and check Internet first is there are any problems.
Had problems when updating my mobile phone system and recent mac osX.

I only upgrade when my stuff wears out.

I keep stuff until it needs to be replaced.

Not too often if I am honest. Usually if I really need something new then I will purchase the latest technology but other than that I tend to not bother unless I really have to. Like now I need a new tablet as the one I had has given up on me so that will be next on my list to replace when I can afford it.

Not very often... Whenever my devices wear out and when I can manage to save enough money to afford new ones...
