Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War episode 1 discussion

I picked up this anime today and the animation is truly good. I did expect to feel out of loop a little but it feels like, I am missing way too much content from the last episode to this episode.
As for Bleach, just like any other mainstream anime, it's one thing or the other. We have another antagonist who is trying to destroy soul society and from the looks of it, it could be someone related to Ishida, Quincy bloodline.
Anyone watched this episode here?

I don't remember the main story so I plan to watch couple of previous season episodes before picking it up.

i have been thinking about watching this and i will watch it after completing that sawamura anime.

It's not a long season. They must have picked just one arc this time.
So, it should be easy to complete it
