I am not so sure what this is about and what exactly are you looking for? You haven't mentioned food, shelter, clothing which are the basic needs for any human.

Yes, this is true but she is trying to get a feel for appliances that are a must have. Those things are obvious which you mentioned though

Those are luxuries, not necessities. Necessities is food, water, medicine and a suitable shelter.

there are things that are needed to live and there are things that you want desperately. there is a difference and what you mentioned are not necessities but comforts to have a smooth life.
