How many of you have watched this anime? And, have you watched other anime from the Monogatari series?
I finished this anime yesterday, and it was very good. I've never seen an anime like this before. The main strengths of this anime are the really eccentric and unique visuals, and the witty dialogues.
The story is about a boy named Koyomi Araragi, who is part-vampire, trying to help people he knows who've been affected by 'aberrations', spiritual or demonic beings that disrupt their lives. The anime is divided into five arcs, each arc revolving around him solving one problem faced by a girl he knows.
The anime isn't as emotional as fans say it is, nor the dialogues as witty, but I still can't deny that it is emotional and the dialogues, witty.
But most of all. The visuals. The visuals are freaking amazing. I can't help but praise it again and again.
This anime doesn't have a lot of action or violence, but when shit hits the fan, it's glorious. The action sequences are mostly one-sided beat-downs, but it's damn entertaining to watch, and executed to perfection, with a lot of blood, gore, and feels visceral.
The anime also has fan-service, though not a lot, but it still does. All those pure-hearted nobles who can't watch an anime just because it has fan-service will hate it in the first scene itself, because it's pretty insane.
My favourite character is Senjougahara(pretty obvious if you've watched the anime), but my favourite arc is Tsubasa Cat. I liked almost every character, with the exception of maybe Hanekawa, who seemed kind of bland, and Mayoi can be annoying sometimes.
Genre: Mystery, Supernatural, Romance, Vampire
