Everyone who knows Naruto must know Hyuga clan, a unique clan who possesed the power of Byakugan and master of Juken/Gentle Fist. Gentle Fist was said to be the strongest Taijutsu in Naruto world, and it was inspired by Chinese martial artist Baguazhang.
Baguazhang was invented by Dong Haichuan (1797-1882), it is reknown for their circular and spiraling system on their movement, constant flow of attack from one to another and ability to strike while moving around (bizheng xiejie/attacking opponent from sides).
Baguazhang is considered as soft kungfu, so.. different from hard kungfu like Bajiquan, there is no powerful strike in Baguazhang. Rather than taking down opponent with explosive power, Baguazhang fighting style is like a flow of river, no interval between attacks, we can still see this characteristic in Neji's Gentle Fist.
