Are you someone who hates on a character solely because they are useless?

I am a little biased when it comes to strength.
If an anime character can't even protect themselves but if they want others to save the world for them, they would disgust me. They wouldn't really care how hard it's for the actual support characters to handle those fights at all. What do you guys think?

No I don't but if they do it deliberately to avoid the hardships and all, it's hard to like them.
