just asking and before you get mad at me. i am black and i am sure most of the people already know this. so what do you all think of this? do you think they are tanned?
Are the brown people in anime black or tanned?

You’re basically asking if all tan people in anime are black, which is pretty narrow minded. In real life do you assume everyone that’s darker than white is black? That’s pretty offensive to non-blacks.
In my example with Nagatoro, when you see her tan lines, the skin that her school swimsuit covers is super pale, clearly the tan parts are not her real skin color, thus making it a tan.

and i was just saying and even blacks don't like to called that way and people judge them based on the color
