Are current video games more violent than in the past?

Do you think video games are too violent nowadays? Are they more focused on violence than they were in the past (like, 10 years ago)?
 
Nope, I grew up during the age of Mortal Kombat which led to today's video game rating system. I say things have only gotten better visually.
 
Depends on how violent it is. For me I'm used to it and like playing it, Yet I'm not those people who plays it all the time and those people who then does it real life.
 
Nope.... Mortal Kombat, Tomb Raider, Grand Theft Auto, MGS, FPS games etc., were violent..... As Davis said, it's just more graphical......
