Old topic. But the problem is.. other forum have this thread and we are not. So here we go..
Some said Saito win because he was on par with Battosai, some other said Aoshi win based on his fight with Kenshin and Saito's performance against Usui. Both have solid reason but for me Saito is the winner, why?
1. Saito is on par with Battosai, no one can denied that fact
2. Aoshi is cornered Kenshin that has been trained the ultimate art of Hiten Mitsurugi and force him using Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki. This is so wrong for me. Samurai X is not Dragon Ball! Kenshin learn ultimate art, it's a move, a technique, it doesn't mean he become more powerful overall. Example : you learn karate, basic move, then your teacher teach you advance move, that means you know more technique, it's not you become stronger and faster physically
Then again.. i strongly believe that Aoshi is a tool for the plot to display Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki. So he's just a convenient object to use
3. Personal bias. Because he is Saito, THAT Saito! Of course i'll choose him over Aoshi. He's legendary samurai on Japan
