Honestly all old men characters from main stream shonen anime are kinda similar. Wang Chan isn't one of them though he's sort of a minor antagonist and he does look similar to Zoldyck yes but when it comes to personality, what they are to the story, etc similarities are galore. 
Be it Whitebeard, Hiruzen Sarutobi, Netero himself. All are highly respected, all sacrificed their lives to defeat or weaken a significant antagonist(Akainu, Orochimaru, Meruem) and are extremely powerful. It still doesn't get old though.

But of course they only have similar looks, the first time i saw Zeno i was like.. hmm i've seen this old man before
