Any idea why Evangelion use Fly me to the moon as ending song?

Yea hard to say, there is a lot of beautiful song out there. Oh yes Netflix, i heard they don't use fly me to the moon, i need to check it out

it's just to get some popularity
and most of the time, endings and openings don't have much to do with the actual anime.
