Annoying thing in historical series

I really pissed off whenever the fictional characters can compete with the historical figure, i didn't sounds right to me, it's very wrong

So now i read Ravages of Time, a series adapted from Romance of The Three Kingdoms. In the story.. the protagonists get Lu Bu cornered by them, yea.. right, Lu Bu. It didn't sounds right in every aspect, nobody like them can give Lu Bu a hard time. In another scene another protagonist can rival Gan Ning's archery skill which is too absurd to me

If the author use mediocre General to become the protagonist's power showcase then i'm okay with that, but using top class General is not to my liking

but you have to admit that people would want to create their own stories where they can do anything with their anime characters.

I'm not a big fan when they turn them into the opposite gender, feels odd.

I don’t like power-fantasy stories either. My peeve in historical stories is that there are so many identical reverse harem reincarnation isekai. Seriously there are at least 20 like this all with the same plot and identical art styles.
