Here it is..

When a star girl on the class falling in love with loser main protagonist. Haha.. this is one of the wtf moment for me, i mean.. this is not how things work, i don't know about your experience but in my schooldays this is never happened, those star girls likes star boys and we 'commoner' get another 'commoner'

I know.. anime and manga are selling dreams to their audiences, just like any other entertainment but this plot is just silly, even if actually happens i think this would be rare (at least in my time)

I think it’s because there were tons of movies where the jock guy goes out with the nerdy girl (see She’s All That), so they decided to see what happens if you do it the other way around.

Also 90% of romances are directly or indirectly inspired by Shakespeare, so this is just an alteration of Taming of the Shrew.

There’s something called suspension of disbelief, and I’m a sucker for romcom cheesecake.

Also if it’s fine for there to be movies about the hot guy falling in love with the nerdy chick, why can’t it work the other way around?

this here is the reply from me too
it depends on the genre and shoujo usually have this one. and probably other genres will have what you are looking for and it's all just dreams.
