Anime Series are becoming shorter? Or too reliant on being seasonal?

what do you all think about this? do you think it's because people are very hesitant to pick long series these days? what are your opinions on this matter?

I am do believe that is the case.i don't see navy anime getting more than 12-14 episodes these days and I thought an anime having episodes of about 25 is what everyone would look for.
Guess that's just me then

I think it gives opportunity to shows that wouldn't have gotten a second look if they made series episode counts longer.
