Anime quality degradation

Is it just me, or are we having very similar anime airing these days?
When i said quality, it means in terms of plot and development.
What do you guys think?

There's good anime coming out every year you are just getting old and your taste is getting saturated or you don't know what to watch.

No they are not if they are too similar pick ones that aren't. We get more than 150 anime per year it's impossible for all of them to be similar.

I am talking about sports anime at the moment.
I got tired of baby steps.... And a certain magical index is very boring.
Even hinamatsuri reminded me of level e

No they are not if they are too similar pick ones that aren't. We get more than 150 anime per year it's impossible for all of them to be similar.

Actually I think the opposite to some extent. The more anime that gets made there is bound to be a decent amount that are similar in one way or another.

I mean yes there are trashy isekai anime like Death March and Demon Lord, and edge-fests like Happy Sugar Life and Mahou Shoujo Site but still the best anime from each season tend to be unique in some ways.
And I'm not counting Summer 2018 here because that was a horrendous season.

Plot and development.. not really, they are still various as it was. What i really complaint is the main protagonist, especially on shonen, they use the same blue print over and over. Now let's check major titles, tell me the differences between Gon, Naruto, Yoshimori, Goku and Luffy?

But Gon Luffy and Naruto are basically around the same time so that's just genre convention. And they are also more than 20 years old.

One Piece is actually older than HxH, and Naruto itself is only a year apart so it's more like the editors that time wanted characters like that.

1997, but it was not on the spotlight, internet is still luxury back then so i can't find any info about one piece, so for me Gon is literally the first one. Actually i don't have any problem with Naruto, his character is ruined when he begin to have unhealthy obsession toward Sasuke, the same goes for Sakura

I see. Well Sasuke is an inevitably polarising character in Naruto so I get it. Also I've said this to you previously but not the biggest fan of Gon, Luffy has a lot of charisma to him in my opinion.
