Anime - Discussion of Hairstyles

What styles really attract your eye?  Do you think anime keeps up with current styles? For instance, in the west (and perhaps other places), the 1940s cut seems to be fashionable, and also beards and man-buns (Note: all of this is in reference to males, but also what about females?).

Some hairstyles are weird in anime. Like sekizan from all out. Or..
 there are many other characters too but at this moment I can't remember.

Yeah, the hairstyles can get pretty crazy but they can add a bit of flavor to the series. I always enjoy the classic spiky hair.

I thought people would mention girls braids here. I like the long haired characters but short haired characters are quite cute too

you have never really saw the hair styles. if you see very old anime, their hair would be sticking up without any hair gel and you get some giggles for it, while watching.
