Anime discs worth buying?

They wear down after playing them often but they can add nicely to a collection. I am thinking of selling my discs but I am having second thoughts.

Thank you, I am going to sell them. I will share a ebay link with you all soon and interested folks could get them for cheap.

Discs aren't like VHS tapes, you would have to play them a hundred times before they start to break down. I wouldn't sell them if you truly love the series and have plans to rewatch.

sadly picture quality is lost on a stream verses a downloaded/CD based anime episode.

there are websites which stream 1080p episodes and that's a decent quality for people to watch

If you got them keep them I doubt they would sell for anything significant. I wouldn't start a physical media collection when you can get everything online for free.

wouldn't you be supporting the author this way?

How is a disc cheaper, for significantly less you get a month of hundreds of anime. My tiny contribution isn't gonna make a difference and even if it did im not a huge anime fan i barely watch an anime once a month.

still less sharpness then having the video downloaded or on a disc, I had a image that showed this pretty good. I'll have to find it.
