Anime can be extreme

A Japanese friend of mine, said they exaggerate in anime. School girls don't have such short skirts in Japan and only in anime, they reduce that skirt length. I never thought anime can be extreme in indecency and I don't mind that for various reasons that I cannot disclose
 
I would say less that anime can be extreme and more that any media can be extreme. Yeah they do a lot of things in anime that don't reflect modern Japan, might give some people the wrong idea but this is just a case of double checking what you see before believing.
 
Is always like that. Media always exaggerates things for their rating and to get more viewers. It's common these days.
 
there are people who covers their skirts when using steps just like they show in manga. it's not always exaggerated in anime
 
Is it allowed? It's a school and teachers wouldn't want the students stray from the righteous path. May be anime isn't extreme then?
 
I think a lot of cultures are exaggerated based on what is seen in movies.  I mean, are blacks as violent as portrayed in Hollywood movies?  Well, some are, but they're only zooming in on felon types.
 
anime are extreme for the ones of a genre. violence, thriller, horror are extreme. hentai, yaoi, yuri are extreme. anything can be extreme in anime.
 
It can be exaggerated.
That's how these series and movies are in general. So, I am not very surprised by this.
 
really? that's surprising to me
and i think you are right too and it's just how we make sure to get the word out to get popularity in anime.
