Anime bento price

Is it me or are the prices for a lunch in Japanese schools are high? My knowledge only comes from anime but I saw people settle with bread, as the lunch is too expensive

Pretty much the same here in the states. Also if you want a bit more fun in depth on this, I suggest watching the anime or reading the manga, Ben-to. Really good.

Actually Japan is a bit expensive to live. Not only that, 1 dollar is equivalent to more than a hundred yen, that's why everything seems so over-priced, but from their perspective, it's all normal.

I have seen anime where kids try to save up by skipping meals.

Yes, every country experiences poverty and and children do starve.

you can't expect things to go smoothly in everything and poverty exists everywhere. only some people are born with a silver spoon. anime covers everything. if it makes you queasy, you can avoid it.

Hey poverty is a world wide thing and according to madara, in their perspective it could be normal like in some countries currency might be 10 to 1 dollar. These persons might find stuff either expensive or vice versa. Doesn't necessarily mean that its over priced. Due to inflation and recession things have been going up all around the world so you could also be right. I hate having to pay high prices for food

Maybe I'm just too tired to be understanding this, but wouldn't the prices be about the same as long as you don't get confused on the term hundred the japanese use.

The economy of the country also matters though, if a lot of people are poor, or if there's not much economic circulation, things get affected. Plus, I think Japan's economy has been in stagnation since the 1990's. Also the population is mostly old, young people are decreasing.

I know things get muddled when you start trying to convert currency. And that Japan has long lasting old and the younger generation just want to get it on with 3D girls.
