Anime about space

Sometimes they are interesting but most of the time, it's all about battles. I wonder if there is an anime out there, where humankind just explores other planets and nothing more....

That would be space dandy, granted there is some battles but its mostly an idiot seeing other planets.

and... not really sure if there is anything else that isn't battle focused.

No one would watch it but I get what you are saying. It would be nice only if it is real otherwise it wouldn't be interesting and everyone will be bored
