Anime about IT / Technology?

I am rather new to Anime : I have an interest in Technology so what sort of anime do you recommend for me to take a look at? Thanks

Ghost in the Shell is a definite to watch. Though the movies can be a bit dry and philosophical in places it is still worth watching. Also the TV series (Stand Alone Complex) is really good, probably better than the movies because they're a bit quicker paced.

Hrmm, though it did have some computer stuff to it, the series was more about theory than IT.

it's alien technology but it's still set for a technological anime. i just remembered this anime when we were talking about old main protagonist
