Stuck in a metal armor because of a transmutation gone wrong, Alphonse Elric has to make the best out of travelling alongside his brother in search of something that will transform him back into a human... while knowing that said something might not even exist.

What do you think about Alphonse Elric?

I prefer the elder brother more, however, I think Alphonse is a good match with his brother. Edward is somewhat hot-headed and reckless, as the result he can easily be pulled toward dangerous situation. In that case there must be a person who can pull him out and protect him, as the family Alphonse totall fulfills that role. Alphonse is kinda a caring and protective character type, though his characteristics might be boring to many people, but when I see these two brothers as a whole, I see they are good match with each other and that makes the feeling of family connection and bonding between these two brothers touching.
Say... remember the time when the two brothers fight each other because Alphonse thinks that he is just an artificial robot, not a real human soul trapped in a metal armor? That reminds me, Alphonse can be easily fooled sometimes.

He is a really kind brother and who would want to live their life as an armor in the first place? He must have gone through hell just to prove himself worthy of his brother.

Well, the guy is pretty much immortal in that armor... Sure, he can't enjoy food and the pleasures of the flesh, but he can do pretty much anything and he is immortal...

I dun think so, there is plenty of way to literally kill him (in the serie many characters can do that). And he has the vital weakpoint - the blood mark, if the mark is damaged, Alphonse's life will also be affected.

That mark is hidden inside as far as I remember and he is good at alchemy just like edward. So, I don't think he is weak or anything/

Yeah, I was just comparing to some other characters, they seem to be able to defeat Alphonse, not in easy way, but not too hard for them (7 Sins Homunculus, Roy Mustang, Scar, Kimblee).

Well, even though he is big and with an armor, he is still a kid who got no experience. After seeing his armored body people kept forgetting that he is still just a child.

@Arsudar your points are all good but you keep forgetting that the anime have two versions. fmab is different to the first fma. the story is different in both of them

I kind of enjoyed his fate and how he kept on working towards a fix despite their sin should have forever robbed him of his body.

i pitied him a lot. he always tagged along with his brother and everyone is afraid of his armor and he don't have a body. it's sad to see him struggle
