So you think it would be a good idea to get affiliated with other anime communities, to get some exposure?
Or what about other genre communities like general discussion forums and such?
We would appreciate your feedback on this topic.

go with advertising. do not think about affiliations. advertise this in facebook,twitter, and other social media sites. advertise in youtube, pin intereest

We will not consider affiliation at the moment then. We really don't want to lose anymore members. Thank you for your honest feedback.

but even anime communities are different. none of you would join you even if it's a big community and got so many things to discuss

in my opinion, working together with various Facebook pages could help. It doesn't need to be much but, they advertise our site we advertise their facebook. I have good a few good page's main admins added on facebook. (all Anime Related.)

all these forum members would go to those pages and start posting there and we would lose everyone. facebook pages are never a good idea
