Action series main antagonist

Main antagonist in anime.. if i remember correctly they never got the benefit of friendship like the protagonist, they usually just laugh or grin or whatever when they friend die. Why don't they got massive power boost too? Well.. it suck to be anime's antagonist (especially in action anime), no matter how awesome they are they usually depicted as selfish guy without heart or care to others. I mean.. okay they are evil, but why they can't care about their friends? This trait of being not care to friend almost like a blueprint for an antagonist. I could be wrong, but whatever.. lol i think it would be interesting to give the villains some of the protagonist's trait to make them more 'human' a bit

Light is cool, he's a freak with God complex. Orochimaru is cool too, he's dedicated to achieve his life goal even if he must do cruel things
