Do you think that local chef always better at cooking local dish? Like.. Chinese chef always better at cooking Chinese dish than Mexican chef, or Japanese chef always better at cooking Japanese dish than Malaysian chef. Or is this thing really matter at all?
When i read Bambino this thing is one of the plot bring up by the author. In certain chapter, there is Italian chef claimed that Japanese or Mexican can't beat native Italian chef when it comes to cook Italian cuisine. Of course.. in the manga, that Italian chef was beaten, but is that really the case in real life?
To me this is rather complex to answer because there are lot of key factors like taste bud of the chef, wheteher or not the chef received proper training from the origin country of the cuisine, raw talent of the chef, who are the people that chef gonna provide service. But to make it short.. for me, foreign chef will have difficulty to compete with local chef preparing their local cuisine
