A Samsung Galaxy note 9 burst into flames inside a woman's purse

I was shocked yet again. This would keep many people from going after the new models of Samsung despite everything.
Even I wouldn't try any device from the same company.
How many of you own Samsung devices here?

Its not the samsungs fault for building some faulty phone there are reasons for why this happens it can happen to any phone that contains a lithium-ion battery. There is two ways you could increase the risk of your phone exploding one is if you've dropped your phone a lot or some how put a hole in the battery it could expand and explode and the other is if you are lets say keeping two phones close together in your pocket it can cause some problems and cause them to explode so usually its not the manufactures fault this has been known to happen with vapes when people keep them in the same pocket as their phone.

Huh, didn't realize they were up to 9 already. But given their last line of phones did the same Samsung is in trouble now.

Also everyone needs to realize that we are all carrying around mini bombs. Mobile phones are another risk we take in daily life.

Two phones can cause fire? I agree with your other points about dropping the phone and damaging the battery but using two phones can cause fire is just unbelievable.

I don't remember the specifics but its got something to do with the two batteries being to close to each other or something like that.

I believe there are some iphones which burst into flames too.
Then again, usually they are dropped often or they might have been misused.

I suppose but the manufacturing defects are quite less.
Most of the companies follow that six sigma policy. People tend to use these devices a bit too much.

Those are really cheap stuff. I wouldn't buy them but their features are quite attractive.
:sigh:
Yup it's old but I like it. I just wanted it to have a finger print sensor or some face recognition sensor ;_;

Well, most of the China products which are avilable are very cheap.
Well the quality is so so too but people who always crave for latest things.. Always go for these devices.

Well there might be other phones but as someone pointed out only recently phones are getting these issues and I wouldn't say that it's negligence of the user alone.

I really didn't know this. I always keep my phones very close. Thanks man you might have helped me in avoiding a fire hazard.
