A ridiculously overpowered protagonist or a ridiculously weak protagonist?

Whom do you prefer in general?
I believe we have too many overpowered protagonists these days. So I would go with the latter. What about you guys?

weak protagonist is a coward
and overpowered protagonist is very boring. can't we usually just start in the middle and not to pick anything.

It's very hard to even imagine a very weak protagonist who wouldn't be on his knees all the time

Both of those options could be a downer for me and I wouldn't want to keep watching the anime.

you know how one punch man works. he is the strongest character and it's still a gag anime.
