2D Computer Anime Creation

Does anyone mess around with stuff like comic creator programs, Photoshop and the like when creating anime?  Does anyone know of good YouTube videos on the subject?

I certainly don't like 2D anything cause I can't draw or paint.  That's why I like 3D stuff.  However, it would be a lot cooler if I could do 2D - cause I could make scenes etc. a billion times faster and cheaper.

Quality 2d animation is often more time intensive (hence more expensive to make) to make than the usual 3d-2d mix you see in modern animation.

Don't get me wrong, though, 3D and animation can be massively difficult still yet.

There are Anime with heavy cgi like ajin, good eaters.
If you like animation, watch them

I'm thinking anime is easier to draw.  I mean, the faces aren't as complex as with other types.  But, I could be mistaken on this!

I have Clip Studio Paint, which is the same tool professional manga artists use too.
I got it as part of the Pixiv Sensei programme, which I'm casually following.

Do you draw manga Technical suwako? I am not aware of it at all. We used to have a person who used to draw manga here but he left ages ago

I don't, I'm only learning it whenever I get the time (and I don't forget).

I'm currently at the part of the course I have to draw a simple character (so a head with eyes, nose, mouth, and hair).
This was literally it in lesson 1, and from there more techniques have been explained, and slowly transitions itself into an actual anime-style character.

The course is only available in Japanese, but even when you don't speak it you can at the very least follow the core points (because they're being animated on the screen), but you will lack the explanation behind it.

It's not easy to learn by watching. She would be better off seeing videos in her own language or in English.

That's really great. Isn't face the hardest part of anime character?
It expresses many things and needs so much work. That's what I heard anyway

There's an online practise section after each video lesson, so it's not only watching.
For the practise it's recommonded you have a pen tab though.

Which is exactly why you start off with a simple one, and then work you way up to the advanced stuff.

I am good with hand made designs. But I am no good with softwares and using them in creating designs.
It's completely different

You need good software for that and many software are paid software. I wouldn't want to spend money on something just for learning it. As for the pen tab, I don't know what that is.

The software is being distributed for free for Pixiv Premium members, which is about 500 yen a month.
And pen tab is a touch pad-like device with a pen, allowing you to easily make art on a PC.
Often can be used as a replacement to a mouse too.

500 yen is Japanese currency. Do you live in there? You must be lucky. I know what it is but didn't think of terminology before.
