Have you ever dropped an anime thrice?

I don't think I have, but I wouldn't be surprised if I did. I started watching anime since the 90's, so chances are there's something I've tried to give another chance after dropping them because someone I value their opinions suggested I needed to switch my frame of mind while approaching it. Most of the time though, Usually after the second watch I feel like I make up my mind. Some times I find they were right and it turns I was taking it too seriously or completely missing the context and what they were trying to accomplish and that has made a big difference. If even doing that I can't bring myself to like it then I usually drop it for good.

wait! Wait! I do have one! Ouran High School Host Club. I dropped three times before actually watching the whole series.
Two out of those three times I was being too fast jumping the gun. Basically, once the club part began I felt uncomfortable and didn't liked what they were doing, messing with other people's affairs and just being eye candies, so watching two episodes I was out, then tried again this time dubbed, since I was told that added some of the charms and there was some stuff I was missing from literal translations that made sense once they were localized in the dubbing.  Then I reached a part where the protagonist is basically scolded for the way she acted and basically being shown how she was at risk because of her gender and the way they conveyed that and spun it on her gender rather than her body built really didn't sit well with me so I dropped it yet again.

I thought I wasn't going back to it, but once again seeing how beloved it is and having people telling me it is a must-watch and stuff. I decided to try it once again and just go with the ride until the end. I am not going to say I didn't enjoy it or I can't see the things it did right, but it just never amazed me in the way it did for other people. I think something I really liked from it is how the show worked to make the twins have their own quirks and they are sustained during the whole series, so people can go back and still tell them apart. The episode where one of the twins spends the day with the protagonist is probably one of the few episodes that made an impact.

Not really
Usually people might pick an anime twice but not thrice. So I got a bit curious

Once is enough for me. I rarely give second chance for something like this
